Roku Remote is Not Working

What is causing the Roku Remote to not work?

We researched this particular issue by going through various user reviews and the repair methods they used to fix the problem. We discovered some of the reasons why the remote might not work.
Dead Batteries: The most common reason a remote fails to operate is often due to the dead batteries.
Remote Pairing: If your computer is new and you've just bought, then remote pairing with the system is needed and it won't work without remote pairing of these two.

Not Recognizing: Often, for whatever reasons (even they are already paired), the remote or the computer may stop recognizing each other which may interrupt contact between them.
Wi-Fi connection: If no Wi-Fi is available then both the computer and the remote do not operate. The wrong channel can also cause a pairing problem on a router.

Note: You must have a Wi-Fi link to connect the Roku Remote to or attach your Roku system to work otherwise it won't work. And if you have Wi-Fi and try to pair it, but it still doesn't work, it's because your Wi-Fi isn't set to "Channel 11" in your web router settings.
Before we move onto the methods, make sure that your remote computer is compatible before attempting these methods. Now that you have a clear understanding of the nature of the issue, we will move on to the methods.

Method 1: Pairing the Roku Remote

Most people will use it for the first time and will not know how to pair the Roku Remote with the Roku computer, and will continue to search the remote for repair. To make it work you must first pair the remote to your computer. And to do so follow the steps below
Open the "Battery Box" and find a small button
Hold this tiny three-second "Pairing Button"
Pairing window will appear and pair the remote to the unit.
Don't think about next method is for you for those who don't have a pairing click.

Method 2: Pairing Roku Remote without Pairing Button

The Roku IR Remotes will be the ones that come on the back with no pairing click. So for men, how to pair the remote to the Roku system can be confusing. This is the easiest way without a pairing click, you can pair it up.
Hold the "Reset" button on your Roku computer for 15 seconds
Note: If the computer is new, you may not need to do so.

Once the device has been reset, press and hold these buttons until you see the Home + Back + Star pairing window Note: If the three keys are not working, just hold the "Home + Back" button to try.
Make sure that there is nothing that blocks the signal between the computer (player) and remote communication, because if anything blocks, then pairing does not work.
Method 3: Re-Pairing or Resetting the Roku Remote We must reset remote and system pairing in this way. Your remote may have previously been connected with your computer, but it has now stopped working unexpectedly, so these measures will address the problem and make the remote system remember each other.

Hold these 3 buttons and reset
Home + Back + Pairing
After removing "Batteries" from the Remote
Now "Unplug" the power supply of the Roku Player
Put the "Batteries" back into the Remote
And "Plug" the Roku Player
Delay for it to load the screen, you will automatically see the remote pairing.
